Q. Why choose Lesli Larsen Art & Photography for a commission?

A.  With each commissioned portrait, you are receiving a quality piece of artwork that is the result of experience, education and skill. Having benefited from both 19th century classical realism art studies and documentary photography training,  I bring my passion for detail and personal knowledge into each and every work I create.

Q: How long does it take to complete a commission?

A. The length of time will vary according to the size, the number of subjects, amount of rendering, etc. Once an agreement for the portrait has been reached, I will give an expected completion date to the buyer.

Q. What kind of photographs are needed?

A. The photographs provided should be good quality, i.e. sharp, well-lit and large. Though I always intend to improve upon photographs in my drawings, ultimately, the better the photograph, the better the drawing.

Q. Will you provide progress photos of the drawing?

A. My goal during the initial planning phase of the commission is to address every question, concern, etc. with the buyer in that they will have complete confidence and assurance of the outcome. In this vein, progress photos are unnecessary, however, a photo of the completed drawing will be sent to the buyer for approval prior to receiving the final payment.

Q. Do you sell your artwork framed?

A. Framing is not included or provided with my artwork, whether drawings or photographs.

Q. Do you sell prints of your drawings?

A. The drawings for sale or done as commissions are unique, valuable, one-of-a-kind pieces that will not be sold in prints.

Q. Can I buy other drawings not listed under "Available Artworks"?

A. Drawings not listed under "available artworks" are not for purchase either due to private collection, commission or  copyright reasons.

Q. Do you ship outside of Canada?

A. Currently I am shipping within Canada and the U.S.A but be sure and check back often for updates.

Q. What type of payments do you accept?

A. I accept credit, debit or PayPal and will send an invoice with a secure link for payment.
